4/15/2024 0 Comments Huge iconset for mv![]() The point of this subforum is exactly for finding specific art, no need to put a cool-down timer on it. Well, sorry, but I'm not really a fan of the style, I'm looking for something more detailed instead of the silhouette style used in MV"ĭon't be ashamed of making requests, we aren't dog-piling you because you are requesting stuff. It's okay if you didn't know MV came with modern icons, but when it's brought up just say, "Oh yeah, lol, I never noticed them. "Oh, I really like the art-style from XYZ game! Maybe something similar to that if it's possible?" Would inform us more.Īlso, informing us of what styles you don't like is just as helpful, so we know not to recommend assets that fall under that style. On the other hand, if you clearly specify an artstyle you like, In other words it really, truly is a vague response that doesn't help us nail down what you are looking for. So if you want something like you might find on Itch, it really isn't being specific because of the myriad of different users who post there. Anyone can upload there, there is no quality control, and as a result you can have literally any art-style because it's what the individuals decide to upload, not what Itch approves. To clarify a point here that I feel like you aren't getting: Itch.io is just a place for users to upload games and game assets. This subforum is specifically for resource requests, but it feels like you're doing it with such regularity that a single thread would be better for anti-flood purposes than threads for every individual asset? Why not just make a single thread like "Spyro's Resource Request Thread", then people could follow it and help you rather than getting flooded with "hey I need this tileset", "does anyone have this icon", "hey I need XYZ" on a regular basis. People (myself included) are doing a good deal of Google Fu on your behalf, and I don't think it's fair to react with "precision" that boils down to saying people have said things that they did not say. It's not about restricting how often you ask for stuff, but deliberately or not you're mischaracterising what other people have said, and - I think - taking advantage of the community's general good-will with all these threads. What matters are accurate descriptions and specifications for the assets you're looking for.īolding the above not to be aggressive, but because you've said multiple times that you asked for them to be from Itch, which is not relevant, so I am trying to be 'precise', as you put it. It is pointless saying "I want a thing and I want it from this specific storefront" because that doesn't matter. No-one said you didn't specify where you wanted it from - you didn't specify style.
